Suboxone has two main ingredients: buprenorphine (which helps with opioid dependence) and naloxone (which blocks the effects of opioids when abused). When you take Suboxone as directed, the naloxone doesn’t really do much because it’s mostly there to stop people from misusing Suboxone. So, if you’re prescribed oxycodone for pain while taking Suboxone, the naloxone in the Suboxone won’t really interfere with the pain relief from the oxycodone. Just make sure to follow your doctor’s instructions carefully!
