Im learning about protists in my bio class, but its hard since classes are online. So I was wondering if someone could help me understand what makes protists unique compared to other kingdoms? Thank you

It’s the Miscellaneous Kingdom. It consists of things such as amoeba, mushrooms, seaweed, etc. I’m only a layman so you should probably look it up on Wikipedia or Google or something. 🤓
Great question! You know that junk drawer in your house that has the weird stuff that doesn’t categorize neatly but still needs a place?
Protists. It’s a diverse grouping and it’s basically defined as NOT: plant, animal, fungus, or bacterium. Generally they’re multicellular heterotrophs, usually eukaryotic. It is not a “natural” taxonomic group nor a proper clade.
