For solving the Rubik’s cubw, you only have to remember a handful of patterns, and how to solve them. These are quite simple, a few steps, which you can master.
First hey solve one side (usually the white), then the next row (and if you memorized the harder patterns, you do these at the same time). Now you only have one side to solve. For this, you have to turn all the elements good face up, and put it in place, this is the two steps which usually takes a longer time. If someone got lucky, and doesn’t have to solve one step (like after turn up all the color good face up, then they are at the place they should be, aka solved), then it is usually marked somewhere in their time.
If you want to learn it,there are a few tutorials online, i think with 8 different pattern you can solve a standard 3#3 cube
