Answer: lets use math as an analogy for the slingshot argument.
If I tell you that 12+8×4=44 that is a true statement. But we can substitute other statements in there that still makes it true. For example, if I make 12 into (4×3) and I make 8 into (4×2) and keep the 4 the same, we now get
(4×3)+(4×2)×4=44
It is a different way of saying the same thing but you replace true statements with equivalent true statements.
