What is individual securitization? Does it give more control to the individual or does it give the *appearance* of control, while actually placing the reins in other people’s (investors’?) hands?

It’s about an idea from a [short story](https://slate.com/technology/2018/11/mark-stasenko-overvalued-short-story.html ) of a future where people are traded as a comodity. Not in a slavery sense, though the analogs would trouble many, but rather as a bet on future promise. Sort of “fantasy football” for industry.
