Vibration White-Finger

Many months ago, I read a NSFW post regarding someone using their wand so much that they developed this disease. Explain to me how the vibrations impact the nerves and cause numbness as a symptom, please. Is it akin to tinnitus where the constant stimulus results in the nerves being “permanently turned on”? I’ve been very perplexed for months.

All your nerves do is rely information to your brain.

It is your brain that then processes all that information.

You brain actually selectively chooses to ignore a lot of the extra pointless things your nerves “feel” like filtering out a bunch of static to just focus on the song in a car radio.

So when nerves are getting constantly stimulated, the brain might start to ignore signals from those nerves because what originally was “hey this is a weird vibration” has turned into “ok here’s vibrations again, this doesn’t mean anything and happens all the time just filter it out like static”
