I’ve seen lots of post on social media recently about how when Americans study abroad in Europe, they’re always so thirsty because in Europe “no one drinks water.” Why is there such a drastic difference between regions?

We do, we just take a glass and fill it from the tap.We don’t carry around half a gallon of purified water during the day.
