Water-soluble vs. Fat-soluble vitamins

I understand that vitamins are either water-soluble or fat-soluble. CWhat does this mean for us in terms of nutrition and consumption? Do we need to change how to we eat and/or how we supplement based on the vitamin’s solubility? etc.

Overeating/overdosing on water-soluble vitamins is not a serious hazard; the excess will simply be excreted in your urine, so you’re unlikely to be affected by “overdosing.”

Fat-soluble vitamins are not excreted like that, so they will accumulate more easily in your body. Excess consumption of these are more dangerous, as you can reach hazardous levels much more easily.

If you’re approximately adhering to the recommended vitamin intakes, you’re most likely going to be fine.
