– Weight training and diet

What is the relationship between weight lifting and diet? How do people in prison become so jacked when their diet is likely terrible? Does weight lifting account for more than we think? I always hear how the gym is 80% diet but idk if that’s really true.

The very vast majority of prisoners are not jacked. Most of them would be pretty small and unimpressive in pretty much any gym in America. Some of them are also on steroids. Prisons are full of drugs and gear is no exception.

As long as you have access to a decent amount of protein and aren’t starving, then diet really doesn’t matter all that crazy much for weight lifting. Prisoners have endless time to train, and very high motivation for doing so(keeps you safe).

This is weightloss. For losing weight its all about eating less calories than your body needs, which is easy in prison when you are eating awful food.
