I just filed my business Boi report and just curious as to why the government want us to do this and also threatening HEAVY Fines lol

the govt likes to know who is running/controlling businesses. they dont want known fugitives/terrorists/”bad actors” to receive govt contracts or money though other business programs.
boi reports sound super serious. it’s like they wanna know who owns what and make sure things are legit. might help with taxes or stopping shady stuff. also heavy fines kinda scare you into obeying. but think of it this way if everyone does it we all play fair.
boi reports sound fancy but really it’s just the gov’s way of keeping tabs on businesses. they wanna know who’s making money and where it’s goin. they do it to prevent any shady stuff but yeah the fines are heavy no doubt. just think of it as them makin sure we’re all playin by the rules. safety first right?
