It’s a battery that uses a solid electrolyte. Batteries basically have two electrodes and an electrolyte between that allows the transfer of ions when the battery is in use. This is typically liquid/immersed in liquid in conventional batteries. Solid state batteries are potentially safer and offer a higher energy density. Lithium is simply the ion used.
