I keep getting ads for sunglasses with inverse lenses (curving inwards instead of outwards). The marketing is not very clear about the benefits, if any.

Former optician here. There is no benefit and many negatives. The refraction of the lenses get extremely messed up and your vision would be impaired. Maybe they use flat lenses?
