You would have to share the article. “Best performing currency” isn’t a particularly formalized term.
Generally speaking you might hear people talk about best preformatting relative to the USD (US Dollars). That would mean the currency that has “gone up” the most. “going up” means each unit of that currency can be traded for more USD than before. And it has to be relative to another currency, because it gets really complicated and hypothetically something could go up relative to USD but down relative to a third currency with it’s own unique relationship to USD
But again, this isn’t a universally agreed upon term especially when used by articles for laypeople.
