They call and say they need my attorneys information. They then get upset when I tell them I don’t have an attorney. I know they are scammers. But what are they trying to do with attorney information? I don’t get it. I always answer and make up a story to string them along. They have never asked me for money.

They’re trying to create a sense of urgency so you’ll call back right away. Then they ask for a bunch of personal information, presumably for identity theft.
