This is not well studied but people have speculated that it is related to mammalian grooming behavior. The soft voice that is spoken very close to the microphone creates the impression that the person is extremely close to you. The hand activity is somewhat similar to…say….picking lice out of one’s hair. Some furry social animals like ourselves will help each other out by cleaning and tending to each other’s hygiene. It would be logical that evolution would select for us having a pleasurable response to this behavior if hygiene improved survival odds. These videos convince a primitive part of our brains that we are being affectionately groomed and we like it.

Anyways nobody knows for sure. But this seems like a reasonable hypothesis.
