As I understand it, your bladder is full of wee at body temperature. When you go to the loo, your body suddenly loses a large amount of fluid which reduces your overall body temperature. This sudden reduction causes your body to shiver.

My theory has been that since pee tends to come out warm, our body is making a high effort in mantaining that urine in a warm temperature, making us and out body feel cold. When that pee gets discharged, the system that its in charge of warming the liquid goes into shock when it realizes there’s nothing left to keep warming; producing a shock between the system and our bodies. This is where the shivers come from.
