what causes these cuts/changes in rock

Any geologists on here that can help me figure this out? If it helps, [these](https://imgur.com/a/ZS0tOWK) photos were taken on a rock beach on Canada’s west coast.

It may be glacial action, rocks suspended in the ice are ground across the bedrock. Different directions because it reflects the motion of the glacier over a long timescale.
