What determines how big a pregnant belly will get?

The title basically. But more specifically, why do some pregnant women get a (relatively) huge beach ball belly and others get a smaller one or hardly any belly at all. Obviously carrying twins, triplets etc. will make the belly bigger by default, so my question assumes that there’s only one baby in there.

The size of a pregnant belly can be influenced by several factors, including the size of the baby, the amount of amniotic fluid surrounding the baby, and the mother’s body type and weight. These factors can vary from woman to woman and pregnancy to pregnancy, so there is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question. In general, a larger baby, more amniotic fluid, and a smaller mother with less abdominal muscle tone can result in a larger pregnant belly.
