He picks companies to invest in – his style is generally regarded (ELI5) as based on fundamentals of long term profits.
So made a lot of money over a very long period.
He’s an investor. His Berkshire Hathaway buys companies (Geico, insurance for companies, BNSF railway, Dairy Queen, all sorts of industrial and building supplies) and large stakes in investments like Apple, Amex, Coca-Cola.
