What does a “producer” do across different types of media?

It seems like a movie producer does something different from a news producer, which is different from a TV producer. What does that title mean across different types of media, or other industries beyond media?

A movie producer does everything necessary to produce a movie. A music producer does everything necessary to bring an album together. A news producer brings together news broadcasts.

It’s the person that manages to bring together all the elements of their medium to produce a product.

These are very different skills. A record producer is not qualified to be a film producer.

Think of it as a person that knows how to create a result in their respective industries, especially when the various talents don’t work for them.
