I don’t understand how an A/C’s power could be measured by horsepower. Is it the volume of air coming out? Is it how much colder the exhaust temperature is to the intake? What does it control exactly?
Is this an HVAC system? Because they have an air handler which inside has a blower motor, whose power is measured in both horsepower as well as tons/tonnage. And how much air volume they can cool is usually measured in BTU (but also converted to feet sometimes).
