To add on to what everyone else is saying, think about being a kid in elementary school. Growing up, kids didn’t ever care about race. The school I went to had blacks, whites, Hispanics, and everyone got along for the most part. At no point were any of the kids making friends or enemies based off of skin color or culture, it was purely based on hobbies, interests, and goals. This is how the world should function, but some people just can’t play along with others well, however this doesn’t mean everyone from one race is racist towards another. Not all whites hate blacks, and not all blacks hate whites. It’s purely a case by case system, yet media likes to go crazy with categorizing people and almost forcing people’s attention towards them in a negative way.

This only grows further with other subjects like being LGBT. I could be friends with someone that’s L and have no issue with being friends, but when they group up and categorize themselves, they immediately begin excluding people and that causes the hatred you often hear about them. People complain about many things, not enough blacks in a certain video game, not having enough gays in video games, and more. Instead of grouping up and appreciating each other, they group up and denounce everything that isn’t a part of their group like kids making fun of the nerd in the back of the room. However, if they don’t categorize themselves, then nobody would care.

Sorry long rant.
