What does nausea often go away after you eat something?

Considering how nausea feels and typically what it associates with, I don’t understand how eating something often makes it feel better. Seems a little unusual to have a feeling that makes you not want to eat, but yet it goes away after you do.

Low blood sugar is one of the things that can cause nausea. (Oddly enough, high blood sugar can too.) Anyway, sometimes you’ll feel nauseated if your blood sugar is low, so having an appetizer can, well, give you an appetite.

You can be naseuas if you have an empty stomach. It best to eat toast or a saltine cracker to give tour stomach something to digest

That happens to me also. I know there are certain foods that help nausea go away, whilst other foods may worsen it. For example: I can’t stomach microwaved fish anymore because it worsened my nausea this one time. On the other hand, eating some toast or other light food makes me feel better.
