What exactly makes tobacco more harmful/carcinogenic for the body than cannabis?

Is it the chemical makeup of nicotine vs THC/CBD? Given the fact they are both smoked, and burnt plant matter are both inhaled in the lungs, it is said that burnt tobacco smoke is more carcinogenic than cannabis smoke. Also, cannabis is used medicinally and therapeutically whereas tobacco is not.

Edit: I am aware that cannabis is better used medicinally as a tincture or in a non-smoked method (i.e. edibles). That would be the safest method of consumption.

as an ex smoker here is my take. I had a collapsed lung, went to hospital where after an x-ray I was informed I had blisters on my lung. The nurses who were really sound with me informed me that weed burns at a higher temp than tobacco, hence the blisters and an increase of a collapsed lung. Not good to be fair. if you take it, best do it through oils or food.

Tobacco is full of poison, formaldehyde, arsenic and a shit ton of other poisons and carsonagens but burns at a lower temp so less chance of a collapsed lung but higher chance of cancer etc. absolutley fuck tobacco.
