What happens if you don’t touch up a tattoo? Will it eventually disappear or become a blue blob?

Colors will always fade over time, but if it’s done well it can stay sharp. It’ll never disappear entirely unless its on a place that has lots of skin turnover, like the palms of your hands. As you age though, your skin will get looser and that will cause the tattoo to distort and lose sharpness. But that’s not anything a touchup can prevent.
