Birth control works with one or both of the hormones estrogen and progesterone. Men have small amount of estrogen, but not enough to exhibit female sex characteristics. A man taking these hormones would likely result in more feminine physical characteristics such as breast development, decreased facial hair, testicular shrinkage, etc.

A male would have to take them on a regular basis to creat any sort of change.
