You might have to be clearer about the context where you heard it. A lot of companies have basically used that same term to mean different things.
At a very high level, a data space is mostly what it sounds like – some space where you can store data.
Usually it’s some kind of bigger product where a bunch of other people can also get to the data and use it in some way.
Without further context, it’s a pretty broad term, sort of like how the term “living thing” could describe humans, animals, plants, etc…
