I just noticed that a fair amount of high schools in japan (as well as in anime: like Date Tech or Sarukawa Tech in Haikyuu) are technical high schools. Do they have a different curriculum compared to a regular high school?

Technical schools are often vocational schools where the curriculum is more specific to a particular type of job. There are schools for farming, nursing, etc., that aren’t for university-bound students, but rather for students who want to pursue that specific kind of career. The “regular” high schools teach a standard curriculum for university entrance exams.
Same thing they are for people intgr US.
Skillstraining available to younger adults that aren’t going to college.
We have technical schools in the states too.
