It’s not a real serious condition (well, maybe), but it generally means that women sometimes feel like they don’t think clearly at times during pregnancy. They may make easy mistakes, they may forget the names of things, they may get confused more often.
It’s not a chronic serious illness like gestational diabetes, and so it probably has had a lot less academic study.
It’s kind of like a “brain fart”, but happens more often during pregnancy.
