The official term is myokymia. It’s caused when normal facial muscle contractions around your eyelids are disrupted. The specific reason is of often debated, however, one reason is when you’re tired or stressed your sympathetic nervous system goes into overdrive, causing the eyelids to twitch.
Went to the eye doctor when this was happening to me years ago. All day. Every day. All night. He said “stress”. It was true and, once I realized that, it stopped completely. Try to relax. I know, easier said than done. Give it some meditation and relaxation techniques. Good luck.
