Corporatism is a significant thing in the Scandinavian countries, where the government acts as an arbiter/liaison between worker’s unions and companies, this form of corporatism is often called tripartism.

Corporatism is the idea that a group should come together in politics not based on your social class or ideals but your particular policy sector area.

So e.g. a farmers “corpus” or body should represent all farmers’ interests.

In the modern world this just looks like special interest lobbying which is why corporatism has quite negative connotations.
