Cyanopsia causes individuals to view the world in a “blue tint”. Normal human color vision is trichromatic, which means that any color can be viewed by a mixture of three selected primary colors. Cyanopsia can happen when someone experiences retina damage or has eye surgery. It can also be caused by drug use, and in that case they disrupt certain enzymes in the eye which are responsible for reacting to light/color and ultimately sending that information your brain. Cyanopsia is usually temporary.
