The rich made laws to ensure they and their families stay rich by reserving govt jobs.

This reservation of jobs was applicable to those who fought for the country’s freedom and the laws were formed such those people’s children, grand children etc would continue to get those jobs.

Govt jobs are life time employment with benefits and the chance to make millions through corruption.

People ( students) of Bangladesh said enough was enough and revolted.

Sheikh Hasina , the Prime Minister, did nothing to alleviate the situation. In fact she ordered for the police and other military forces to fire upon the revolting students.

The situation got out of hand and she was ousted. She now has taken refuge in India. There are many legal and illegal immigrants from Bangladesh in India.

During the revolts it is alleged that the majority Muslim population destroyed the minority Hindu population’s properties and temples.

Over the next few days the situation will become clearer, as the PM was ousted on 5th Aug
