I’ve seen some posts about how the entire country of Lebanon is without power. A few have also mentioned their central bank being involved, but most use banking terms I’m not familiar with.

Lebanon is a failing country with a failing economy. The instability and corruption in the government caused most businesses to leave Lebanon. This means there is very little money being earned by the people or government. There is so little money that the government cannot afford to pay for fuel for power plants, or maintenance on the power plants and transmissions systems to keep them reliable.
