If a customer is rude to an employee with low confidence, the employee may think that they did something wrong.
If a customer is rude to an employee with high self confidence, the employee may think the customer is just a loser.
If a customer is rude to someone with intellectualism, the employee may think things over and go over possible reasons: the customer had a bad day, a bad shopping trip, domestic issues, etc.
