Juice is what you squeeze out of a fruit (or vegetable). Everything else is “not-juice” that was added to the juice…water, sugar, color, extra flavors, preservatives, vitamins & minerals, etc.

There’s a slight wrinkle around concentrates…”100% juice from concentrate” means that they temporarily took some of the water out (what was left was the “concentrate”) for shipping/storage, then added the water back later. That’s technically still considered 100% juice.
