Pixel Binning is when you average the values of adjacent pixels. It reduces the resolution AND reduces the noise. It’s a “better” way to make photos if you need to reduce noise, resolution, required processing time, etc. It’s worse if you want crisp, high-resolution images.

Pixel binning is taking all four neighboring pixels and adding them together to create one bigger pixel. The advantage of doing it is that it smooths out all the noise

Pixel binning is a technique used in digital imaging where the pixels in the image sensor are combined into larger “super-pixels.” This can be done for a variety of reasons, but the most common reason is to improve the signal-to-noise ratio of the image.

There is no definitive answer as to whether pixel binning is better or worse than the normal way of creating photos. It depends on the specific situation and what the photographer is trying to achieve.
