How does it work? When we incident a photon on atom in higher energy level , it doesn’t gets excited to higher energy level, Instead it comes backs to ground state, why? Also how the emiited photons are coherent?
A photon just kicks electrons around. It CAN kick them to higher energy levels, but often it doesn’t, and sometimes it can speed up how fast it’s going down to a lower orbital.
Imagine it like billyard balls on a staircase and you shoot random bullets at them.
