My first thought would be to check for a bomb under your bed, though I’m intrigued since I have never heard this noise before.

Isn’t that sound your heartbeat?

Op, remove your analog wristwatch before sleeping. Lol.

I hear it to, suspect it’s my heartbeat.

I started hearing a ticking a few months ago. Only when I’m trying to go to sleep. It’ll frustrate me and I’ll aggressively shake my bed and it’ll stop for a few minutes. I really thought it was something in my room (that for some reason only happens at that time of night, and considering I’ve spent most of the past year in my room, that’d be strange), but maybe it is just me laying with my ear pressed…

It’s the sound of blood pumping through your ear with each heart beat. Each ticking sound matches a beat of the heart. If, you take your pulse on your wrist or neck, it’s the same thing; pumping blood. We just happen to be able to hear in our ear when positioned a certain way since it’s occurring right there.
