What is the difference between a business unit and a segment in contracting?

When I look this up, everything says business units are segments and go on to describe business segments, but there is nothing saying segments are business units. I’m trying to wrap my head around this – is this like the “every enzyme is a protein but not every protein is an enzyme” situation? Please help me. Thank you.

I think both terms are ambiguous enough that it would depend on the context.
