* White Noise is a signal that has all frequencies of human hearing at around the same power level for each frequency.
* Pink Noise has all those same frequencies but puts more power behind the low frequencies.
* Pink Noise is used to tune professional sound systems as it more closely mimics the way humans perceive sound.

White noise has a flat frequency distribution, e.g. all “colors” are present at same intensity. Pink noise has a distribution that falls off (I think) like 1/f.

White noise is just as loud at every frequency.

Pink noise drops off at higher frequencies, meaning it sounds deeper.
