What is the farmer’s almanac, who makes it, and why it it so accurate?

It’s a book of weather forecasts, planting charts, and other generic information.
It is produced by the Old Farmer’s Almanac company.
In terms of its weather predictions, it is no more accurate than flipping a coin, as determined by scientific analysis. The rest of it is just basic information or facts.
A better question is why do some people (including you, apparently) think its weather predictions are accurate? They are not.
