What is the importance in the order at which you ingest food and liquids?

If I wake up, drink a ton of water, and then down a coffee, how is that different from drinking the coffee first, and then drinking the water?
Or if we bring food into the equation, how is drinking water > Eating breakfast > more water > coffee, going to compare from lets say: coffee > water > food > more water?

Additionally, if I have water with my dinner, and drink coke after, is this better than drinking coke with dinner, and having water after? If I drink coke after drinking lots of water, am I essentially drinking watered down coke? Or does that water start working immediately, and the coke is next in line after?

The order in which you ingest food and liquids can have an important impact on your digestion, absorption, and overall health. Eating and drinking in the wrong order can result in digestive disturbances, such as gas, bloating, and indigestion. It is important to drink fluids before meals and to make sure to eat foods that are easy to digest first, such as fruits and vegetables, before eating more complex carbohydrates and proteins. Additionally, eating slowly and mindfully can also help to support proper digestion.
