Thermodynamic temperature is how hot something is.

Thermodynamic means literally of the movement of heat. Heat moves from hotter things to colder things, until the things have the same temperature.

Other properties of things, such as how big they are or how much electricity can go through them, can depend on their temperature. We use this fact to make thermometers that can accurately measure temperature.
