I’m learning composting and I just haven’t been able to find a simple “why” when it comes to 2D and 3D tracking! I understand that there are 2D, 2.5D and 3D tracks. I know what to look out for in order to know when to pick one. Many of the tutorials I watch explain how to track, but not what tracking actually is and why we need it. For example, if we’re trying to merge a person walking in one plate into a street scene in a different plate, why do we need a tracker? Hope this question isn’t too silly! Thanks!
