Modern countries spend billions on welfare in specific areas and the admin for it. Health care assistance, grocery assistance, money for veterans, retirees, people with disabilities, unemployed, homeless, etc.
Universal Income is the idea to just give everyone $ reguardless if they have been deemed “worthy” or if they have a “specific need” and lets them spend it how they like.
