What makes the brain remember some moments in life more than others?

I’m talking about very specific moments, for example I still have some really strong memories from when I was 10 (is 30+ now) and they are so strong that it almost feel like I’m there when I think about it. The thing is that they re not any special moments and could just be some regular day to day activity or play.

At the same time I had whole trips with the family, reunions, funerals, etc that feels like a lot bigger moments or milestones that I don’t remember at all.

So what makes the brain remember some moments more than other?

For some reason, the brain’s electrical connections are bigger and stronger for that particular memory. The brain kept sending those signals and strengthened the connection. You could recreate it by consciously remembering a point now and continue to dwell on it and think about it for 20 years and it will have the same effect.
