From StudioBinder:

>Postmodern movies aim to subvert highly-regarded expectations, which can be in the form of blending genres or messing with the narrative nature of a film. For example, Pulp Fiction is a Postmodern film for the way it tells the story out of the ordinary, upending our expectations of film structure.

We expect a story to have an objective ‘beginning, middle and end’, but *Pulp Fiction* doesn’t do that: it presents three individual narratives that occur simultaneously and intertwine in such a way that any point of connection between them could be interpreted as the ‘beginning’ of a particular narrative and the ‘end’ of another.
