What on earth is the speed of causality?

Saw this as an answer to another question and can’t wrap my head around the logic. What? How? Why??

The speed of causality and the speed of light are the same thing. A universal speed limit is necessary because otherwise something could have an infinite speed and be in more than one place at one time. I feel like any explanation past this simple logic dives into relativity and space time and a 5 year old would never understand it. Shoot I barely understand it.
