Can you explain what you mean by “lose our grip”? Do you mean literally, like gripping something and it slips out of your hands, or do you mean figuratively, as in panicking?

>do you mean when you have “pins and needles” in the arm/leg/etc?

>If that’s what you mean, it’s basically your brain trying to process fucked about informations from your body: when your position compresses blood vessels, your blood doesnt flows correctly, wich is something your sensitive nerves will tell your brain.

>Ofc, the brain doesnt like to know blood isnt going properly, so he makes you feel numb, expecting you to change your positionning and solve the problem.

>When you either do change on purpose and/or have very little, not even perceptible movements, bloodstream goes (hopefully) correctly again. But for a period of time, while the compressed vessels get their normal shape and position and the pressure evens out, the brain gets multiple signals telling him different and contradictory things: your position is fixed, the circulation is fixed, but your circulation is still fucked like before and it’s also fucked but not like before. This is what makes you feel the tingling.

>Hence why, if your legs for example are crossed and you start feeling pins and needles, unfolding your legs is the best way to fix it
